Linking Communities and Scientists for HIV/AIDS Prevention, known as LinCS 2 Durham, is a collaborative, community participatory research project that strives to bring members of Durham’s African American community together with scientists to decide about research strategies for preventing HIV in the community. On this panel, scientists and community members who are engaged in the project will discuss their research process as well as the project outcomes. Speakers will include representatives from some of the study’s partner institutions: FHI 360, North Carolina Central University, Durham County Department of Public Health, UNC Center for AIDS Research, UNC-Chapel Hill, LinCS 2 Durham Collaborative Council.
